The West Fork football team will look to build momentum for the postseason as they host Lake Mills in Class A District 3 play on Friday. It will be youth night for the Warhawks and their regular season finale.

West Fork (5-2, 3-2 A-2) battled #5 (A) West Hancock into their closest district game, as the Warhawks fell 33-20 last week. Dax Suntken leads the Warhawks running core with 924 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. The Warhawks defense will look to settle in, after allowing 28 or more points to opponents in their last three games. Head Coach Dan Westhoff.

“That’s one we’ve been waiting a long time to get back. They’re hungry, but I can promise you our guys are hungry too. We’re really looking forward to that one,” says Westhoff. “We want another crack at them, to right the wrong from last year. We’re going to have a good week prep and we’re going to be ready to go on Friday.”

Lake Mills (0-7, 0-5 A-2) fell 49-12 at home to Newman Catholic in district play last week. The Bulldogs offense has struggled averaging 12 points or less in district play. Nash Delger and Zach Stene have rushed for a combined 452 yards and six touchdowns. The Bulldog defense has allowed 40 or more points in three of five district games.

Lake Mills won last year’s meeting 27-17 on the Warhawks homecoming.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Sheffield.
