The AGWSR School Board Monday will consider appointing a new board member to fill a vacancy for the remaining two years of a four-year term. Four applications for the position were received. If the board does not make an appointment, this vacancy would likely decided by a special election.
In other business, the AGWSR School Board will review an application to the School Budget Review Committee in the amount of $2390.76 for special education administrative costs associated with the River Hills Consortium program for the 2026-2027 school year.
Results from last week’s city/school election will be reviewed by the board. A $12.76 million bond referendum failed in the district with 54.56% of votes cast approving the measure.
The AGWSR School Board meets Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the district office board room in Ackley.
