
The Aplington-Parkersburg Community School District Board of Education approved several financial, staffing and facility-related items during a series of meetings held recently at Aplington-Parkersburg High School.
During its regular meeting, the board approved applications to the School Budget Review Committee totaling more than $450,000, including funding for open enrollment out students and at-risk and dropout prevention programs. The board also approved nearly $22 million in facility and construction costs tied to general obligation and SAVE bond projects with SitelogIQ.
Board members approved a one-year shared girls high school softball agreement with Dike-New Hartford, along with the purchase of a convection oven for the Aplington building and repairs to an auditorium overhead door.
The board also nominated Jill Kalkwarf as board president and named Amy Truax as vice president.
