
The Hardin County Board of Supervisors will meet Wednesday morning to address budget matters, board appointments and county business.
Supervisors are scheduled to hold a public hearing on fiscal year 2025-26 budget amendments shortly after the meeting begins. The board will also consider approving an appropriations resolution amendment.
In addition, supervisors will consider appointing Jeff Smitheman to fill the remainder of the unexpired term of Union Township Trustee John Johnson. That term is set to expire Dec. 31, 2026.
The board will also consider setting a work session aimed at coordinating efforts with local EMS agencies to establish an EMS System Advisory Council.
Other items on the agenda include acknowledging receipt of animal feeding operation construction permits for the Buckeye 21 site in Buckeye Township and the Concord 25 site in Concord Township.
A regularly scheduled drainage meeting set for 9:30 a.m. Wednesday has been canceled.
The meeting is set to begin at 9 a.m. in the courthouse large conference room in Eldora.
