The Hardin County Board of Supervisors Wednesday set a public hearing for the fiscal year 2027 budget for April 15th at noon.
Supervisors also reviewed plans for a major bridge replacement on South Avenue over the Iowa River on the east side of Iowa Falls. County Engineer Taylor Roll said the 224-foot-long, 40-foot-wide structure will replace a narrow, effectively one-lane bridge. The project is supported by a $1.5 million state grant, with remaining costs to be split between the county and the city, pending council approval.
In other business, supervisors approved a utility permit for Unite Private Networks to install fiber infrastructure along M Avenue northeast of Hubbard, and accepted the resignation of Lyndsay Hamm as a full-time dispatcher in the sheriff’s department.
