The Aplington-Parkersburg girls golf team will begin its season Monday, marking the team’s first competition as its own program after sharing with Dike-New Hartford last season. They’ll travel to La Porte City Golf Club for a quad with Union, Don Bosco and Waverly-Shell Rock.
First-year Head Coach Klay Hoppenworth says the team has a good base to build upon.
The meet will start at 4:15 p.m.
The #15 (1A) Falcon girls soccer team will begin its season by hosting a ranked matchup against #3 (1A) Hudson. Just one starter from last year’s team graduated. Kiara Morris and Adri Allan are back as the top goal scorers.
The AP/DNH boys will play the Pirates on the road. The United (1-1) are coming off last week’s 8-2 win over Columbus Catholic. The Pirates (0-1) began their season by falling 1-0 to GCGR last week.
Both games will start at 5:00 p.m.
