The Hampton City Council reviewed tree planting efforts during a workshop Monday, including plans to use a Iowa Department of Natural Resources grant to add trees in public areas. A proposal for additional plantings in the cemetery was also presented, with no opposition from council members.
According to the meeting agenda, the council had closed sessions to discuss union negotiations and a possible property purchase or sale.
