
The average price of regular unleaded gasoline in Iowa rose 1 cent from last week to $3.65, according to AAA.
As of Wednesday afternoon, GasBuddy reported local prices at $3.79 per gallon in Hampton, Allison and Belmond.
The national average for regular unleaded gasoline was $4.11, down 5 cents from last week. Prices in Iowa are up 66 cents compared to a year ago.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa fell 3 cents this week to an average of $5.07. That is 57 cents lower than the national average of $5.64. One year ago, diesel prices in Iowa averaged $3.36.
In crude oil markets, West Texas Intermediate fell $2.65 per barrel to $92.29, while Brent crude rose 65 cents to $95.16. One year ago, WTI crude was priced at $61.74 and Brent crude at $66.58.
