Grundy Center Council approved new police officer, driveway ordinance and more Monday

The Grundy Center City Council met Monday.

They approved the hire of Collin Conger as a full-time Police Officer and set his wage. They held a public hearing and approved the first reading of an ordinance amendment to increase the width of the curb cut for a three-car garage up to 42 feet wide. They also approved the purchase of a street sweeper.

Among non-action items, the Public Works Committee commented that pool painting project is completed.
