Franklin County Community Garden Hosts Public Garden Tour Event
HAMPTON, Iowa – Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in Franklin County invites the community to attend a Community Garden Event on Tuesday, August 12 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Franklin County Community Garden, located at 1405 Federal Street North in Hampton.
This free, family-friendly event will feature garden tours, to-go appetizers such as guacamole, salsa and chips made by our garden volunteers and samples made from fresh produce. A free-will donation will be accepted to support garden programs. It’s a great opportunity to explore the garden, enjoy light refreshments, and learn more about local gardening efforts.
“Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just curious about how our community garden works, this is a welcoming space for everyone,” says Lili Velasco, Program Coordinator.
Everyone is welcome to come celebrate community, food, and nature with us!
