***Meet at visitors parking on the campground side of the park***
Come join Franklin County Conservation at Mallory Park Campground and experience the uncommonly explored world of nature at night!
Explore the sounds of Iowa’s nocturnal critters and learn how to rely on your other senses to navigate through the woods. This will be a guided 45 minute hike during a full moon in the woods with Franklin County Conservation naturalist. Red light flashlights and headlamps will be used to light our way; we will turn off all lights for a short duration of the hike.
It is encouraged to wear comfortable clothes for a hike and closed toed shoes. The trail is not paved and rated as an easy difficulty.
Please bring your own flashlight ad/or headlamp. Red tape will be provided to go over lights to prevent driving off wildlife.
This event is FREE, open to the public, and is for all ages. Adult supervision is required for ages 15 or younger.
Registration is NOT required.
