Investigation into the alleged theft of mail from the Dumont Post Office continues
The U-S Postal Service Office of Inspector General and the U-S Postal Inspection Service conducted an investigation of the alleged theft of mail from the Dumont Post Office.
U-S Postal Service Public Information Officer Greg Godfrey tells Radio on the Go News that a highway contract route driver was identified, approached, and interviewed.
The driver no longer has access to any U-S Mail as the investigation continues.
Godfrey says the government considers these allegations to be very serious but also says all persons are presumed innocent unless otherwise adjudicated by a court of law.
Godfrey adds no additional information will be released at this time.
