NIACOG Housing Trust Fund has a furnace and central a/c replacement program

The North Iowa Area Council of Governments Housing Trust Fund has a furnace and central air conditioning replacement program available for those living in Cerro Gordo County, outside of Mason City, and for those living in Floyd, Franklin, and Hancock Counties.

You must have a furnace and/or central air unit older than 10 years old, have owned your home for at least 12 months and reside in your home, rental properties are not eligible.

In addition, you must have homeowners insurance, and the home cannot be located in the 100-year flood plain.

And from a financial standpoint, you must have no more than 25-thousand dollars in spendable cash assets, and your annual gross income is under the limits by household size and county.
