Paid-Time Off Policy Discussed by Franklin County Board of Supervisors
Tuesday, the Franklin County Board of Supervisors reviewed a request by a couple of department heads to amend the paid days off policy as it relates to Christmas and New Year’s.
The current policy grants a half day for Christmas Eve, a full day for Christmas Day, a half day for New Years Eve and a full day for New Years Day. Some department heads would like to change the policy to a full day for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and a full day for New Years Eve with no time paid for New Years Eve.
After discussion, the board directed HR Director Audrey Emery to send out a survey to all employees to see what they want in regards to paid days off.
In other business, the Franklin County Board of Supervisors discussed a contract with Franklin County libraries as it pertains to the disbursement of funds that the county provides the libraries and also discussed health insurance for county employees. No action was taken by the board as Emery will continue to gather information for the board to review.
