Drought conditions worsen in Iowa again
After improving last month, drought conditions are expanding in Iowa.
The latest U-S Drought Monitor shows that as of Tuesday, only 7-point-49 percent of the state had no drought conditions listed, last week it was almost 43 percent.
The categories of abnormally dry, moderate drought, and severe drought increased in the past week, with abnormally dry jumping by almost 25 percent.
In the broadcast area southeastern Butler and northeastern Grundy Counties are in a moderate drought, while most of the rest of the local area is abnormally dry.
