BIG Grant policy discussed by the Grundy Center council
The city council in Grundy Center this week received recommendations from a committee concerning the city’s Business Innovations Grant or BIG Grant policy.
The recommendations include that all applications must be accompanied with at least two bids/estimates/quotes for the work, one property owner may be awarded one grant per 12 month period, the maximum grant award would be 20-thousand dollars per 12 month period, and applicants would be required to present the application to the BIG Grant Committee and to make a formal presentation to the city council.
No action was taken by the Grundy Center City Council but the item is expected to be on the next council agenda.
