Algona police officer shot, suspect arrested
Last night 43-year-old Kyle Lou Ricke was arrested following a nearly 4-hour manhunt that involved law enforcement agencies from Iowa and Minnesota.
Ricke is alleged to have shot an Algona police officer about 8pm yesterday in the 11-hundred block of South Minnesota Street.
Additional details on what took place and the condition of the officer have not been released.
