One person hurt in a single vehicle accident near Mason City
Today about 6am the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department received the report of a single vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Highways 18 and 65 just south of Mason City.
38-year-old Anthony Slocum of Charles City was driving a vehicle on a ramp at the interchange when he left the roadway and his vehicle became wedged under the overhead bridge at the top of an embankment.
Slocum was transported by the Mason City Fire Medics to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
