Allison City Council receives an update on the city swimming pool

The Allison City Council this week received an update from city engineer Jim Sweeney on his findings from visiting the city swimming pool and making an above ground inspection of the facility.

Sweeney stated there were cracks in the kiddie pool that need to be sealed and resurfaced to fix leaking issues, the pool deck needs to be replaced, the east wall of the pool needs to be replaced, the roofing needs fixed, gutters  need to be put on the west side of the building, the fence will need to be replaced, and there is a main crack in the middle of the floor that will need fixed.

Sweeney told the Allison council that he would contact the state and talk to someone to see if the city can get a list of what is required by the state to fix the pool.

The pool will be discussed further at the next council meeting on March 11th.
