SkyWest to continue serving two area airports
SkyWest Airlines, operating as United Express, will continue to provide Essential Air Service to the airports in both Mason City and Fort Dodge.
SkyWest has been operating for nearly 2 years on a month to month basis under orders from the U-S Department of Transportation after the company announced a plan to end service to many locations, citing pilot staffing challenges as the main reason.
The 3 year contracts for both Mason City and Fort Dodge flights begin April 1st and will run through March 31st, 2027.
