Bulldog coaches comments played on Morts Water Company Sports Beat
This weekend’s edition of the Morts Water Company Sports Beat featured a mix of postgame interviews with Hampton-Dumont-CAL Head Coaches from recent games this week.
The show featured H-D-CAL Girls Tennis Coach Trevor Eiklenborg, the Bulldog Girls Soccer Coach Ben Schlachter, and Boys Soccer Coach Danielle Arana. Each program is off to a competitive start. Coach Schlachter says it was a huge confidence boost for the girls to secure Thursday's 2-1 win over Belmond-Klemme.
“When we had a lot of shots on goal in the first half… they didn’t have their confidence yet, and to see Teaghan [Bird] put that last one in [77’], I just really came alive for the girls. [The girls] were blowing up on the sidelines and that just made me blow up even more, and if I had any more hair I probably would’ve pulled some out.”
The other guests from this edition included Iowa Falls-Alden Assistant Boys Soccer Coach Brendan Chaney, as he discussed the potential jeopardy of their 2023 season, as well as the upcoming match hosting Hampton-Dumont-CAL, and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Girls Track and Field Head Coach Monty Harker, as he talked about some of his standout student-athletes, and their next meet.
