Local Cross Country Teams To Compete at Clear Lake Invite Thursday
The Belmond Klemme/CGD, Clarksville, Hampton-Dumont-CAL, North Butler and West Fork cross country teams will compete at the Clear Lake Invite Thursday.
The Broncos enter the meet after competing at the West Fork Invite on Monday. In the Girls 5K, sophomore Lila Swenson finished seventh place in 24:18. In the Boys 5K, junior Christopher Greenfield finished in fifth place in 18:56.
The Bulldogs enter the meet after competing at the Belmond-Klemme Invite on Sept. 5th. In the Girls 5K, senior Lydia Maas finished in fourth place in 21:56. In the Boys 5K, Connor Miller finished in 39th place in 20:17.
The Bearcats’ last competition was at the Osage Meet on Tuesday. In the girls meet, freshman Addison Voelker finished in third place in 19:54. In the boys meet, the Bearcats finished in sixth and seventh with Ezra Almelien in 17:45 and Traeger Pecha in 18:00, respectively.
The Warhawks recently hosted a meet on Monday. In the girls race, freshman Evelyn Hitzhusen finished in second place in 22:27. In the boys race, junior Xavier Baptiste finished in third place in 18:18.
The Indians first two meets of the season were canceled, so this will be their first competition of the year.
The meet begins at 4:55 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Golf Club.
