Bulldogs Volleyball Returns to NCC Play at Humboldt Thursday Night
The Hampton-Dumont-CAL volleyball travels to Humboldt in North Central Conference action Thursday night. This is the Bulldogs’ first match in 10 days.
The Bulldogs are 7-8 overall and 1-2 in North Central after winning 3-2 (25-15, 21-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-11) over Iowa Falls-Alden on Monday, September 11. The Bulldogs leaders are junior Aubryee Showalter with 149 kills and a 119 digs, junior Aubree Gronewold with 287 assists, junior Abby Drier with 137 digs, and junior Charlee Morton has added 61 kills.
The Wildcats are 6-8 overall and 2-1 in North Central after going 1-3 at Dike New Hartford tournament on Saturday. The WIldcats had a 2-0 win over Osage and lost 2-0 to Sumner Fredericksburg, Dubuque Hempstead, and Center Point Urbana. The Wildcats leaders are senior Tayla Wempen with 74 kills, senior Ella Olson with 112 assists, senior Macey Varangkounh with 148 digs, and junior Larsen Bonnstetter with 26 blocks.
Humboldt leads the Bound era series 15-2. The WIldcats won last year’s meeting 3-0 in Hampton.
The match begins at 7:30 p.m. in Humboldt.
