West Fork Volleyball Competes in Triangular at #1(1A) Ankeny Christian Thursday
The West Fork volleyball team to compete in a triangular hosted by #1 (1A) Ankeny Christian on Thursday in Ankeny. The Warhawks will face Diagonal and Ankeny Christian in their matches.
The Warhawks are 1-14 after a 3-0 loss at #13 (3A) Osage in Top of Iowa play on Tuesday. The Warhawks are led by senior Mallery Meier with 50 kills, senior Breea Weaver with 94 assists, senior Breckyn Dickman with 106 digs.
Diagonal is 0-12 after going 0-2 at Mormon Trail Triangular, falling 2-0 to Mormon Trail and Seymour on Tuesday. The Maroons are led by senior Lauren Burton with 30 kills and 10 blocks, senior Zoey Shelley with 25 assists, and junior Amanda Malone with 33 digs.
#1 (1A) Ankeny Christian is 14-3 after going 3-0 at home quad with 2-0 wins over Waterloo Christian, Collins-Maxwell, and Grand View Christian on Tuesday. The Eagles are led by junior Carley Craighead with 93 kills, junior Katie Quick with 312 assists, senior Riese Gjerde with 102 digs, and junior Anna Weathers has added 15 blocks and 90 kills.
Diagonal and Ankeny Christian are both members of the Bluegrass Conference, located in South Central Iowa. This will be the first meeting for West Fork against both teams in the Bound era.
The triangular begins at 5:30 p.m. in Ankeny.
