IGHSAU announces latest basketball rankings
The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union has announced the latest basketball rankings ahead of the release of postseason brackets.
In Class 1A, the top three are North Linn, Newell-Fonda and Remsen St. Marys. Algona Bishop Garrigan is #6 and Riceville is #10.
Dike-New Hartford leads the Class 2A poll, followed by Panorama and Westwood. Grundy Center remains at #9, Denver has joined the poll at #15 and Aplington-Parkersburg dropped out.
The Class 3A rankings are led by Estherville-Lincoln Central, Mount Vernon and Des Moines Christian. Algona is #11 and Forest City is #12.
Clear Creek-Amana, Waverly-Shell Rock and Bishop Heelan lead the Class 4A poll.
In Class 5A, the top three are Johnston, Davenport North and Dowling Catholic.
