Four Aplington-Parkersburg spring sports teams will be in action Monday.

The tennis teams will take on Oelwein. The boys (2-2) will look to bounce back from Thursday’s 9-0 loss to #7 (1A) Decorah, where they were shut out despite having some close matches. The Huskies are 0-3.

The #10 (1A) girls (3-2) are coming off last week’s 6-3 loss to #3 (1A) Dike-New Hartford, and it’ll be the start of a busy week of five meets. Oelwein (2-1) fell 9-0 to #7 (1A) Columbus Catholic in their last outing. Both meets will start at 4:00, with the girls playing at home and the boys on the road.

The track & field teams will each compete in the first night of back-to-back meets. Coming off a fifth place finish at last week’s Lady Wolverine Invitational at Dike-New Hartford, the girls will test themselves against exclusively Class 4A competition at the Bobcat Girls Invite at Marshalltown.

After placing sixth at the Hudson Relays, the boys track & field team will compete at the Hampton-Dumont-CAL Invite against schools in all classes. Both meets will start at 4:30.
