IEDA approves manufacturing grants

Last week, the Iowa Economic Development Authority approved manufacturing investments.

The Manufacturing 4-point-0 Technology Investment Program aims to enhance productivity, efficiency and competitiveness in Iowa’s largest industry.

The grants help small and mid-size Iowa manufacturers invest in the adoption and integration of smart technologies.  For this fiscal year, 33 companies received funding for a total of just over 2-million dollars in awards and total project cost of nearly 5-point-5-million dollars.

In the broadcast area, BioBlend Renewable Resources, L-L-C of Grundy Center received a $75,000 grant, Dimensional Graphics Corporation of Mason City received a grant for 148-thousand dollars, and Latham Quality, Incorporated of Alexander received a grant for $73,551.
