Wednesday night the Ackley City Council held a special meeting and discussed Ackley EMS coverage.
The Ackley council voted to have Iowa Falls EMS as Ackley’s primary provider with Eldora EMS being secondary.
In addition, the city council approved to start recruiting and establishing a first responders’ team in Ackley.
A list of potential residents who may want to join the first responders’ group is being put together, and some council members suggested paying the first responders something when answering the call for service.
