A discussion was held at the Thornton City Council meeting this week concerning the removal of more trees in town.
A couple of the trees are in desperate need of coming down, and the city is continuing to work to make that happen.
The Thornton council also discussed planting trees around the outfield fence in the park.
Norway Spruce was selected, and there is still hope to plant them yet this month. Otherwise, it will be this fall.
