On April 24th about 9:10pm, the Mason City Police Department was called out on the report of a fight and possible shots being fired at East Park near State Street.
Upon further investigation, 18-year-old Ladainian Pannhoff of Mason City, was charged with being a prohibited possessor of a firearm. He was arrested on a warrant for that charge April 28th, posted bond, and was released.
18-year-old Ean Arp, also of Mason City, was the person who was shot during the incident. Arp has since been released from the hospital.
The parties in this incident were known to one another prior to the shooting, as the investigation continues.
