Ward 1 Hampton City Council Member Bill Hodge spoke at the beginning of the council’s workshop meeting Monday night.
“I am resigning my council position of Ward 1 effective 7-1 2025. To the citizens of Ward 1, it has been my honor and privilege to serve as your councilperson 15 plus years. I thank you for all your support. I can only hope that in some way my yes or no vote on some issue important to you was correct. God bless Hampton. Sincerely, Bill Hodge.”
The Hampton City Council will discuss how to fill his seat during Thursday’s council meeting.
