The Aplington-Parkersburg softball team went 1-1 and recorded its first win of the season at Saturday’s BGM Invite.
In their first game, the Falcons fell 12-2 in four innings to GMG, giving up seven runs in the first inning and four in the third. The team was held to two hits.
In the second game, they defeated the hosts 9-5. They entered the fourth inning trailing 5-2, but rallied with three runs in the fourth and four in the fifth to notch their first win. Eva Walker led with two hits and three RBIs.
The Falcons (1-6) will return to action Monday by hosting Hudson for an NICL-Central doubleheader at 5:00.
