
The Hubbard City Council last week approved a bid to replace the city hall roof from Sterns Construction for $20,500.
The Hubbard council approved a bid from Blacktop Service Company of $64,061 for street repair work.
The council was informed that public library director Rachel Thompson is resigning in July. The library board has advertised the position and is reviewing job responsibilities.
And the city clerk reported to the Hubbard City Council that 23 nuisance abatements were sent in May, as each property owner was given 30 days to become compliant, except for 2, who were cited with dangerous building violations, 90 days.
13 properties were found to be in compliance, seven are non-compliant, and one will need to be served by the sheriff’s department.
