Butler County Conservation was able to preserve two shelters at the county campgrounds with their Paint Iowa Beautiful Grant.
Officials with the county conservation board say the shelter houses provide numerous benefits to the Butler County parks, serving as essential spaces for gatherings, recreation, and community events.
Other Paint Iowa Beautiful Grants were awarded for projects in Clarion, Eldora, Iowa Falls, and in Eagle Grove.
