Strong winds struck the broadcast area last night, including a gust to 71 miles per hour at the Mason City Municipal Airport, to 66 miles per hour northeast of Kanawha, and a gust to 64 miles per hour at Janesville.
Trees and branches have been reported down in the local area, including some trees being blown down on vehicles, and power poles being on fire, with some power outages reported as well.
