The West Fork football team will put its 2-0 record on the line when it travels to Eagle Grove for a non-district matchup.
The Warhawks are coming off a 56-20 win over BCLUW where they ramped up offensively with 343 rushing yards, spreading the carries effectively. Defensively, they’ve held strong through the first two games, having given up two garbage time touchdowns last week after allowing one score in the first half. Head Coach Dan Westhoff says they’ll need to be ready to defend the triple option.
“It’s a potent threat,” Westhoff says. “You have to deal with fullback and then you’ve got to account for the quarterback and account for the pitch and you’ve got to account for the play action. Guys winning one on one downfield, so they’re going to create issues. It’ll be exciting to go to a place we haven’t been to and team we haven’t played for a while and try to keep this thing rolling.”
The Eagles (1-1) are coming off a 25-24 loss to Ogden, where they gave up a fourth quarter touchdown after taking a lead into the fourth quarter.
The kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m.
