The second annual Mighty Machines event is scheduled to take place this Sunday (9/14/25). McDowell & Sons Contractors north of Iowa Falls is hosting the family-friendly event that will run from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and is free to attend.
Molly McDowell is part of the third generation of the family business celebrating 65 years in operation this fall. McDowell tells RadioOnTheGo News that the Mighty Machines event is designed to give children and adults a hands-on look at the trade and construction industries.
“all of our excavators, dozers, track loaders, trash trucks, roll off trucks will all be outdoors open horns on. So they’ll be able to climb in at their own will and stroll around our yard.”
Attendees can explore excavators, dozers, track loaders, trash trucks, and roll-off trucks, enjoy live music from Aaron McClellahan, snacks, and even a trade-themed bouncy house shaped like an excavator. Local partners, including Iowa Falls EMS and Forgy Electric, will also be on site.
Mighty Machines takes place Sunday (9/14/25) from 1:30 until 5:30 p.m. and is free to attend at McDowell & Sons Contractors on Highway 65 in Iowa Falls.
