
The Sheffield City Council will meet Monday with an agenda that includes continued discussion on amending the city’s noise pollution ordinance. Council members are expected to hold the first, second and third readings of Ordinance #196, which updates portions of the city’s code regarding noise control.
Other items under old business include approving deconstruction crews for the Derelict Building Grant, considering installation of a sidewalk along the south side of city park and discussing plans for Sheffield’s upcoming 150th celebration.
Under new business, the council will discuss adding a street light at the intersection of 250th Street and Highway 65, review the first amendment to the fiscal year 2026 budget and consider adding a Globe Life insurance policy for city employees.
The meeting begins Monday at 6:00 p.m. at city hall.
