The Allison City Council is preparing for its next regular meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, where members will review and approve bids for park mowing and snow removal and consider two budget transfer resolutions.
Also, according to the meeting agenda, the council will also act on providing refreshments for the library’s BINGO event and review updates on the city’s water meter system and code enforcer.
The agenda follows action taken at the council’s most recent meeting on Nov. 24, when members approved amendments to sewer and water rates after holding public hearings. The sewer debt service charge was reduced from $31.65 to $24.20 per month, while water rates were increased by 10 percent and a facility fee was added. The council also renewed the city’s employee health insurance plan with an 8.2% premium increase.
The council additionally discussed issues including Christmas decorations on Main Street, semi parking changes near the EMS building, future snow removal bids and ongoing collaboration with Clarksville on a certified inspector.
The council meeting begins at 5:15 p.m. in the council chambers.
