
The Belmond City Council will meet Monday with a packed agenda highlighting several business items. Key items include resolutions approving contracts, performance payments and maintenance bonds for two major infrastructure projects: the 2026 3rd Street Northeast reconstruction project and the 2026 aquatic center project.
Council members will also discuss construction-related engineering services presented by Jason Petersburg of Veenstra & Kimm and consider a resolution on mileage reimbursement.
Other agenda items include the approval of meeting minutes, bills and various city appointments, such as Fire Chief Chandler Bachman for 2026 and library board member Peggy Wirtz.
The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. at city hall.
