The Ackley City Council will meet Wednesday evening with a full agenda that includes a public hearing on nuisance regulations, multiple resolutions and several infrastructure-related discussions.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Ackley Council Chambers. Council members are expected to consider a first reading of a proposed ordinance amending the city’s nuisance abatement and junk vehicle regulations, with the option to waive additional readings and move toward adoption.
The council will also address several items of old business, including a Prairie Bridges 28E agreement, 2020 general obligation bond projects, and roofline issues at the civic center and Pizza Ranch. Preliminary discussion is also planned on fiscal year 2027 budget items.
Other agenda items include council appointments for city clerk and city attorney, and multiple resolutions covering mileage reimbursement rates, official newspaper designation, sewer rates, petty cash updates, and intergovernmental agreements.
Public works projects, PeopleService items, and engineering updates are also on the agenda.
