The Agribusiness Association of Iowa has announced the inaugural recipients of its Agribusiness Impact Award, recognizing exceptional contributions to Iowa agriculture.
The association says Steve Sukup, Dave Tierney and Liqui-Grow will be honored during the Agribusiness Showcase and Conference on Feb. 10 in Altoona.
The award recognizes leadership, innovation and service that have strengthened Iowa’s agricultural economy and rural communities. Sukup, a Sheffield native, is being recognized for his leadership at Sukup Manufacturing and his public service in the Iowa Legislature. Tierney is being honored for nearly four decades of advocacy and leadership in the seed and crop protection industry. Liqui-Grow is recognized for long-standing innovation in nutrient management, sustainability and community involvement.
The Agribusiness Impact Award is expected to be presented annually to individuals or businesses that make a lasting impact on Iowa agriculture.
