Grundy County Board of Supervisors Jan. 5 meeting recap

The Grundy County Board of Supervisors recently met to approve appointments, review department budgets and take action related to a legal agreement.

Supervisors approved changes to a negotiated mutual termination agreement with Landus, removing a request for repayment of prior Tax Increment Financing rebates and adding a provision requiring Landus to cover legal fees up to $5,000. The amended agreement was approved unanimously.

County Engineer Jeff Skalberg and County Attorney Erika Allen provided departmental updates, while supervisors also reviewed proposed fiscal year 2027 budgets from County Recorder Travis Case and Custodian Butch Kuester.

In other action, supervisors appointed Lori Kruse to the county’s Tax Increment Financing Committee and Disaster Recovery Committee. Kruse was also named to the ADA Coordinating Board, along with Chase Babcock.
