A longtime favorite for 60s music fans is moving to a new home. OnTheGoMedia announced that “60s at 6,” the daily throwback hour that has aired on 104.9 KLMJ for more than thirty years, will move to 99 The Wave starting April 1.
The move aligns the program with 99 The Wave’s mix of Yacht Rock and Classic Hits, creating a natural fit for the iconic sounds of the 1960s. Meanwhile, KLMJ will continue its focus on classic rock starting at 3 p.m. and running through the evening, keeping its music lineup consistent.
Listeners can still expect trusted local news and information, no matter which station they choose. Colt Powers, who has hosted 60s at 6 for the past two years as well as KLMJ’s midday show, will continue as host after the program moves. The change strengthens the identities of both stations, providing listeners with programming that feels natural, enjoyable, and easy to connect with.
