
The Meservey City Council will meet Monday night to consider early steps in the city’s budget and property tax process.
According to the meeting agenda, council members will review a preliminary fiscal year 2027 budget and levy. The council is also expected to set a public hearing on the proposed property tax levy and schedule a special meeting to establish a public hearing date for the city budget.
Other items on the agenda include an ordinance amendment related to water rates and a resolution that would suspend a previously approved ordinance amendment and consider issuing bill credits. The council will also discuss mobile deposit services, trees located on city property, and the addition of security cameras.
Departmental reports are scheduled from fire, library, streets, water and sewer, and maintenance departments. New business also includes discussion of an SEH new well project.
The meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the Meservey City Hall.
