
The Franklin County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday morning at the courthouse in Hampton, approving several contracts and agreements during its regular session.
Supervisors approved a utility permit for Frontier Communications to place fiber along Eagle Avenue between 170th and 190th streets, pending completion of drainage district permits. They also awarded a $2.45 million contract to Mathy Construction Company for hot-mix asphalt resurfacing and milling on S-56 from Highway 57 north 12 miles to Main Street in Geneva.
The board also authorized a $40,000 operating transfer from the General Basic Fund to support Franklin County Home Care.
Supervisors then discussed the proposed fiscal year 2027 budget and directed County Auditor Katy Flint to move forward with a proposal she provided.
