Wright Supervisors meet in regular session

sports-2-2

The Wright County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Monday and heard a presentation from Melissa Loehr (like door) of the Iowa Primary Care Association. Loehr discussed services provided across the state’s seven behavioral health districts. The Iowa Primary Care Association is the new statewide behavioral health administrative services organization.

During his report, County Engineer Adam Clemons was asked to clarify discussion from last week regarding the organizational structure within the secondary roads department.

Clemons had previously outlined a proposal to reduce foreman positions for truck and motor grader operators. He explained that affected employees could either move to the lower truck driver or patrol operator pay scale immediately, or have their current wages “redlined,” meaning pay would remain frozen until the new scale catches up.

On Monday, Clemons indicated it was his understanding that the higher foreman pay would not continue. Supervisors said they will revisit what consensus was reached at last week’s meeting. No formal action was taken.
