99 The Wave Announces Partnership with Wrestling Hall of Fame

Hampton, Iowa – OnTheGoMedia, headquartered in Hampton, Iowa,  is pleased to announce that 99 The Wave (98.9 KQCR-FM, Parkersburg) has been named the official local media partner for the 2026 Hall of Fame Weekend, hosted by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum and the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in Waterloo, Iowa, July 9–11.

The celebration will bring wrestling legends and fans from across the country to the Cedar Valley for a multi-day showcase. OnTheGoMedia Digital Content Coordinator Hunter Dietz is helping lead the partnership alongside wrestling icon Gerald Brisco — former NWA World Tag Team Champion, WWE Hall of Famer, and George Tragos/Lou Thesz Wrestling Hall of Famer — bringing decades of in-ring and executive experience to the event.

A featured highlight will be the Saturday morning celebrity softball game, “JBL vs. Madusa,” headlined by WWE Hall of Famers John “Bradshaw” Layfield, a former WWE Champion — leading Team JBLariats. Opposing him will be Debrah Miceli, known as “Madusa” (also “Alundra Blayze” in WWE) former Women’s World Champion and trailblazer for women in professional wrestling who will lead Team Madballs USA. Layfield and Miceli are each past recipients of the Lou Thesz Award and inductees in the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Wrestling Hall of Fame.

RadioOnTheGo Sports will provide live play-by-play coverage on 99 The Wave, live video streaming, dugout interviews, and feature stories and podcast appearances leading up to the weekend.

With the announcement, OnTheGoMedia President Shawn Dietz says, “We’re excited to be working with Mr. Brisco and these professional wrestling legends, and look forward to pulling out all the stops to make this a fan-friendly event. Fans will have a chance to see their favorite athletes and performers up close and celebrate wrestling history. This is a really exciting time for 99 The Wave.”

Brisco shared, “We’re looking forward to this as the start of a long-term partnership. Our goal is to elevate Hall of Fame Weekend in Waterloo for years to come.” Hunter Dietz added, “Waterloo has such a great wrestling history. Touring the museum as a kid and now helping bring this partnership to life means a lot to me.”

Additional programming and sponsorship details will be announced in the coming months. For more information, visit RadioOnTheGo.com or follow 99 The Wave and KLMJ on Facebook and Instagram.
