The Franklin County Auditor’s Office is partnering with several local libraries to host voter registration drives ahead of Iowa’s June 2 primary election.
County officials say the events will give residents a chance to register to vote, update their voter registration, change political party affiliation or update their name or address if it has changed since the last election.
The drives will be held at multiple locations across Franklin County during April.
The first event is scheduled for April 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Alexander Public Library. Additional events include April 9 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sheffield Public Library and April 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Coulter Public Library.
Two sessions will also be held April 20 at the Hampton Public Library, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and again from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
County officials say the events are intended to make voter registration and updates more convenient for residents before the election.
