Franklin County supervisors meeting recap from March 10

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors approved several personnel changes, construction actions and upcoming public hearings during its regular meeting Tuesday morning at the courthouse.

Supervisors approved a status change for Cindy Shelton to clerk at $34.75 per hour effective March 16 and appointed Angela Horner as deputy treasurer with an annual salary of $62,118.

Facilities Director Ryan Peterson presented a request for proposals for the G.A.R. Memorial Hall roof replacement. Supervisors approved the proposal and set a bid opening for April 14 at 9 a.m. in the boardroom.

The board also scheduled a March 24 public hearing on a fiscal year 2026 budget amendment and a March 31 hearing on a proposed ordinance that would place a moratorium on new data center development permits in unincorporated areas of the county.

Supervisors also formally accepted completion of the courthouse roof project at a final cost of $140,000.
